For the past 4 years, I’ve either been pregnant, nursing or both and it felt like every over the counter medication came with it’s own set of warnings. Sometimes, I wouldn't take anything because I honestly didn't know what was safe anymore. My second child got sick more often than my first ever did as a baby mainly because his older brother kept bringing everything home from daycare.
I really had to find other safe ways to support myself and my little baby and my toddler bodies. Through my education as a holistic nutritionist and experience I’ve learned a trick or two on how to tackle a cold or flu.
Did you know that kids can get anywhere from 5 to 7 colds a year? For toddlers under 2 years old, that number can go up to 10 colds a year. Yikes! If the school year is 8 months long, that means for about 1 to 2 weeks each month, you’ll be spending caring for your sick child.
